A common misconception during the planning process for a house extension is the idea that measuring for new build bi-fold doors is straightforward.

All of our doors here at Aim Windows are fully weather rated. This means that our thresholds are slightly higher than a low, non-weather rated threshold.

This doesn’t mean that you can’t have an internal flush threshold, it just means that we have to ensure our site survey takes into account the Finished Floor Level (FFL), something we work with your builder on and calculate everything for you.

This reduces the risk of you spending lots of money on bifold doors that have a large “step over”, and ensures you can achieve a nice level threshold finishing perfectly against your new flooring instead.
